Well manicured and healthy.
why wouldnt u just look this question up. its been asked a million times

Are white tip manicures still in style?

Just wondering. Are white tip manicures still in style?
they're a classic look so they'll always be in style because they look like your nails, only betterAre white tip manicures still in style?
As a guy, the French manicure (what I think you're describing) is the ONLY style I consider classy (and they always will be, IMO, because they're simple and clean, but they dress it up a little). Most other nail finishings (weird colours, little icons, etc) are just cheesy.
They are classic.

So of course.

And if you want to jazz it up a little pick a color and use it as a ';french tip'; instead of white.
do u mean French Manicures.. like that.. uhh yes! i loove them! eventhough im not allowed to get fakenails.. i still love them!
there called French Manicures and they will always b in they r classic
as in french manicures? yeahh;; dont get black, it makes yur nails loook dirtyy.
Yes. Toes look great with the white tips also. Great for summer with a tan!
Absolutely not.
yes, i see people with them all the time.

so are painted black fingernails.
yea they'll like never go out of style and if they do then

that sucks
yea but i would go w/ a funky color but thats just my perzonality!
for like dances and stuff, but just to wear its def black tip
of course they are!

they are clasic.

What style and color of manicure should I choose for work?

I have been hired to work as a seasonal associate in the fragrance department in Macy's, and it is important to look professional, stylish, and well-groomed. In order to present that kind of image, I plan on getting a manicure. I would appreciate some advice on what sort I should choose to do in order to get the look I am going for. Dress code is all black clothing, and I have very light skin tending slightly to the peach side of beige. Can anyone suggest a stylish, businesslike, and non-gaudy style for me? Thanks. What style and color of manicure should I choose for work?
If I were you I would just get a simple - but effective - French Manicure. It looks stylish and well kept but classy and looks good with everything, so won't clash with your clothes outside of workWhat style and color of manicure should I choose for work?
well I can only tell you what color I would want if I wanted a handjob... probably a red color and fake nails would look even hotter.

  • I'm getting a manicure, but I have a specific style I want....Help?

In the recent Cosmopolitan magazines, September and November 2006 issues, on the front cover, the models/celebs have their nails done a certain way. It almost looks like its a full set, but not white tips, maybe a lighter white, and a pearl color painted over it. If anyone knows a lot about getting nails done or is a manicurist (spelling?) check out the issues of Cosmo and please let me know what to tell my manicurist so I can have the same look.

I think you can check out the cover on www.cosmopolitan.comI'm getting a manicure, but I have a specific style I want....Help?
Take the picture with you to your manicurist. It's probably white tips with a pink that has a little more pigment to it so the white doesn't shine through as brightly.I'm getting a manicure, but I have a specific style I want....Help?
describe it to them, or bring in the picture, or DIY, or forget about it, or choose a differant design, or get stick on nails, or etc. etc. etc. etc.
if i were u i would take ur mag and show the beution (spelling?) how u wont it k x
The nail in which they are using is the clear tip; which appears to look like your natural nail.
I would take the pic to my manicurist.

Is french manicure still in style?!?

I've asked a question on Yahoo!Answers about nail polish and was surprised that many users adore french manicure. Is it still in style? I thought it was a thing in a past, 'cause I wore it in high school, but I'm 28 now!! Is it a classic that never gets old? Nail stylists and make-up artists, what do you think? Is french manicure still in style?!?
I think the traditional chunky fake french nails are a little old school, but the more modern look with the nude nail and just a little white at the tip is very classy looking. Always keep your nails natural looking and soft colors. Bold and bright is just trashy. Is french manicure still in style?!?
it is but the new shape is squoval rather than squared traditional manicure styles.
i think it still is. looks very nice on nails that are medium length.
yes it is girl and I go as much as I can to get them done. Also girls are not just getting the plain white tips there adding colors.
it's not the trend right now...but i guess it's classic. try pretty pinks for the spring
It's a classic as long as your nails aren't super long.
    Yes

French manicure?? In style or out??

I live in Orange County and all woman of all ages are sporting an acrylic french manicure. I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I have real nails and opt to do my own nails, it just looks better than fake. Whats your opinion on wearing french manicure?French manicure?? In style or out??
I think the French manicure will always be in style--its a classic :)

A cute spin on a French manicure is instead of painting them the usual white, try a bright color (since its Spring). My manicurist suggested this idea to me a few weeks ago, and I absolutely loved them! I got tons of compliments, too.French manicure?? In style or out??
    definitely in.

i like buying the already made ones

    that you just glue on
The french manicure has been around for a long time, under the radar. Personally, I don't think natural looking, well-groomed nails never go out of style. That's why the french manicure has continued to remain stylish. You can give your own nails the french manicure look by neatly painting over the white tips of your nails and then paint over your whole nail with a clear or lightly tinted nail polish. That light tint should the resemble the pink of the nail bed. You could also get someone else (a professional) to that if you like. I don't care for acrylic nails or the fake tips. I used those things on my nails, and they suffocated my nails and were a pain to remove. My nails look much better, anyway. I'd do like you and do my own.
A French manicure on real nails is a very classic, clean look.

BTW, a quick ';cheat'; is to use Essie's Sugar Daddy. It's a sheer, natural pink that enhances your nails and is similar to a French manicure if your nail tips are naturally clean %26amp; white.
I think it great...it is totally in!!!
Save your money and time. Do your own.
It's ok if you are dressed up- I think it looks retarded if you doll yourself up to look like you're..expensive!
I think they look good as long as they aren't too long. They look really cute as long as it's obvious you're able to function with them. Nails that are too long make you wonder how people get around and do day-to-day tasks!
french manicures are always classy. you can even switch it up a bit. try putting a thin line of another color under the white...like black, or a brighter pink
I love french manicure. I have natural long nails with this white stuff. I just put white nail color on this white stuff, because it is brighter. And sometimes I also put transparent nail color to protect the white paint.

What's in or out =%26gt; When most people like it, it's usually in.
In style!! they will always be in style, because white tips are a sign of healthy nails..

and I agree with you, real nails look much better than fake ones!!
I personally likethe real nails.. fake nails look really cheap esecially when your nails start to grow out.. just stay with your real nails.

For the french manicure, is the latest style still square tips, or is it oval tips?

square... and ask for an american manicure, airbrushed.

so classy!! Love it!For the french manicure, is the latest style still square tips, or is it oval tips?
    i don't know

but ive always had oval tips,

i think they look much better and classy!!

xoFor the french manicure, is the latest style still square tips, or is it oval tips?
The square, it looks more professional as well(the french mani). I love them as well(:)
    square definitely :]

Honey, the french manicure is always in style. It makes your nail look neat and glamourous with out the flashy colors. it is totally HOT!!!
    yep
YES YES YES.... its the most classic of all! and will never be out of style
It's been around and it's gonna stay around for quite a long time.

  • False nails are they worth it? I am thinking of having a french manicure style done.?

yeah i've been gettin my nails done 4 years they look so much betta than ur own an if they're fine if u keep on top of themFalse nails are they worth it? I am thinking of having a french manicure style done.?
They are worth it and really additive. I'm a manicurist myself but would never recommend that if your nails by nature is of good condition. Having a stick on without acrylic is OK but if acrylic is involved, there are bounds to be primer.

That is to ensure the fake nails stays but at the same time it cause great harm to your natural nails. Think about it.

=)False nails are they worth it? I am thinking of having a french manicure style done.?
If you are getting them done for a special occasion then I think that false nails are good, especially if your own nails don't look that nice.

However as they can destroy your nature nails I wouldn't get false nails for a long period of time, however there is nothing wrong with treating yourself occasionally
Long fake looking nails are out according to the fashion magazines like Vogue. I actually dont think they are worth it because they have destroyed my natural nails in the process. I like to keep my nails short and neat with color.
    yes they look good
Although it looks very good, it is not very healthy for your nails. If you do your nails give them a resting period at least every three months.
to get a french manicure, u don't need fake nails... they aren't worth it.
Yes they look lovely but are high maintainance. If I am going out I buy the sticky on ones and they look nice too.
I much prefer the look of natural nails but I have seen nice fake ones too. Just make sure you have them trimmed down to a natural looking length.
yeah mine look really good, must admit they take alot of looking after but they are worth it!
Depends on how long you plan to keep them. If you maintain them for a long time, they are nice to have. If you get them for a special occasion the havoc they wreck on your natural nails is hell to overcome. They will weaken them and leave ridges that take months to grow out. I had them for 2 years, quit having them done for several years then had a french manicure done for a cruise. The long term was much better, felt like I got more for the suffering of growing out my natural nails after then I did for the two weeks I had them for the cruise.
depends what type of job you have. not worth getting them done if you're work is gonna ask you to remove them.

Is it okay style-wise to have a French Manicure on your fingers and toes?

I'm going to a student camp this summer in Washington, D.C. The dress code is formal. Is it okay style-wise to get a French Manicure on my fingers and toes, or is it tacky? If it is, any other suggestions? Is it okay style-wise to have a French Manicure on your fingers and toes?
That's what I always get done at the salon, or red nails. Is it okay style-wise to have a French Manicure on your fingers and toes?
I read in the magazine that it's still acceptable (though terribly overdone) to have your fingernails done like that but its played out for your toes
It is completely ok. Don't worry about it.
i always do french cause it goes with everythinggg.
I think it's pretty. Nothing tacky about a french manicure.
I think it looks great and super classy! You will look awesome!
It's fine. Otherwise, go with a neutral or clear nailpolish. Nailpolish actually chemically damages your nails, so I would just recommend buffing to bring out the beautiful, looks-like-nailpolish-shine. Make sure your nails are nice and long so the manicurist has a lot to work with. Fake nails are so bothersome.
If you are worried about what people might think error on the conservative side. A french manicure is conservative, as opposed to different colors.

Just don't get the ghetto high-buff. Natural buff.

Have a good time at camp.
its not tacky but since its the summer do something fun and you don't have to matchy match. but you can still do it if you like it, but who noes if you never try something else you'll never noe
i think it is cute, and yet dressy/formal in a way, like it says that you do take care of yourself ( or at least i think so). not tacky at all. if you want the maintenence to be easier, try just a solid color like red/ scarlet or pink or natural. good luck at camp!

Is a french manicure going out of style?

I'm wanting to get my nails done for prom, and I'm trying to have a very classic/stylish/modern look. I'm most likely going with a reular manicure, unless others say otherwise.

I have to keep in mind, my dress is yellow and my jewlrey is crystal, so i can't really throw in any color.

Thaaaaaank ya!! :]Is a french manicure going out of style?
Ask your manicurist about an American natural. It isn't as white on the tips as a French manicure and does look very natural. I get one every ten days.Is a french manicure going out of style?
i hope not... luv me sum french
No french manicures are the most popular manicures out there at the moment among teens and grown women alike. Every time I see someone with polished fingernails it's almost always a french manicure as they are versatile and complement all hand types.
omg nooo i get french manicures all da time
Definetly not. French manicures are forever classy and in style.

Some people are mixing up their french manicures by using different base and tip colors or doing them backwards, but the classic french manicure, in my opinion, still looks the best. I think a french manicure will look really good with a yellow dress. =)
    Been gone for awhile.

Have your nails polished with a coat of clear and have nail art on one pinky to match your dress; a flower or a few lines/curves or a nail jewel; just enough for accent and compliment.
I don't think so. It seems to me that a French manicure would fit perfectly with the look you're trying to achieve. French manicures have that, simple, yet sophisticated and elegant look.
Absolutly not. I'm getting one over the weekend! Sure maybe fake nails are coming in and all but french manicure is still very AWESOME!
    no way!

i love them, they should never go out of style.
I never really get my nails done, but french manicures will never go out of style.
actually u can throgh in color the new thing this season is color and mitch matching asn of course a french manicure is out of season long time ago !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! try a sparkly pink tip and clar with uhm...crystals on the edge ehttp://www.beautydevil.ie/products/viewi鈥?/a> of a

no! french manicures are so kool! they are so stylish %26amp; hip%26amp; modern at the same time. somethings never go out of style.

    french manicures are one thing.
go with the french manicure its a classic...and i think it would look nice with ur dress :]

Getting manicure, pedicure, style how much to tip?

Getting all paid by Gift Certificate and paying cash for a haircut all in total is about $80 worth of services, how much do I tip?Getting manicure, pedicure, style how much to tip?
Generally, the rules of tipping for services apply, and that is between 15% and 20% of the total amount due. For a good article which appeared in ';Dear Abby'; that deals with the subject of tipping hair stylists, read this:

    http://www.beautytech.info/articles/dear鈥?/a>

I hope this helps!Getting manicure, pedicure, style how much to tip?
General rule of thumb for services is the same as wait staff in a restaurant -- 15% is considered the baseline, but you can tip more for good service or less for poor service. For $80.00 worth of services, 15% is $12.00.

I recently got a French manicure, the pink and white, with sparkly white acrylic. It's just enough shimmer to be cute, but not too much to where you look tacky. They have it in the pink acrylic, too. Tell the person that does your nails that you want the pink and white set with the sparkly acrylic.

    They can put sparkly polish on your toes, too. Don't do the wacky designs and stuff - you'll only look back and think, ';What the *beep* was I thinking??';

I am about to take a trip from south florida there and my nail tech advised me to not go with the french tip because it's like wearing white after labor day, or like sandals in winter. Is a french tip manicure in style with this season in the midwest?

I agree with her, the french tip is sooo out of style! that hasn't been in for a few years. Go with short nails and a a dark red, or white is really in style right now (but maybe too in style for the midwest).

Umm i'll adive u that its better is u not get a manicure, like serioously. If u search up the news, ppl get infected by harmful bacteria while they get their manicures n pedicures. But if u want to get it done, then i advise u that u should bring ur own equipment along with u. Its imposseible to trust that their equipment is properly sterilized or not
